Social Media Specialist

Primary is looking for an experienced social media specialist to join our Digital Media team in our Haverhill office. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies by creating, directing and curating relevant content through multiple social channels. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a client-facing role and will thrive in a fast-paced and highly creative environment; able to work in a group setting as well as independently. This position will also need to be comfortable researching trends, analyzing data, as well as monitoring growth and social reach.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or other related concentration
  • At least two years of experience working in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good time management and multitasking skills
  • Passion for social media and creative thinker
  • Understanding of social media best practices
  • Digitally savvy with a working knowledge of Facebook Ads Manager, Hootsuite, Google AdWords/Analytics, reporting software & project management software
  • Experience building creative content (photography, video, infographics, GIFs, cinemagraphs)
  • Adaptability and a continuous emphasis on improvement
  • Team player mentality
Responsibilities
  • Research relevant content for our clients’ social media accounts
  • Become familiar with our clients’ brands and industry trends
  • Be responsible for the content and image curation for all social posts for assigned clients
  • Develop social media marketing strategies for assigned clients
  • Manage social media campaigns for assigned clients
  • Social profile / page maintenance and monitoring
  • Collaborate with other members of social team for peer review
